I have just been exposed to a situation with a man aged 80 who has been stricken with runaway cancer and is faced with the prospect of heavy Chemotherapy and Radiation treatment. I was asked to pray for him.
In such a case there are two options:
- Pray for wisdom for the doctors and nurses and speedy recovery – which is the default position that most people fall into.
Or
- If the person concerned is a Believer pray for a quick death with minimum suffering and for Father’s will to be done.

In a case like this my default position is to go for option 2.
If a person is an unbeliever then pray that they are confronted with a dramatic revelation of the reality of the Creator so that they can believe before it is too late.
Once a believer is above age roughly 70 they have lived out a reasonable time span and it is quite acceptable for them to leave and go to be with Father Yah.
Why not to be afraid of dying
I notice that the default position, even for many Believers, is that they do NOT want the ill person to die, we seem to take it as a given that it is better to suffer with cancer or whatever with the vague hope of recovery when, in fact, life with Father is much better.
If you are questioning this please read the article “2021.10.02 Why are YOU Afraid of DYING?” at https://www.eti-ministries.org/why-are-you-afraid-of-dying
There are a number of videos of people who have been to Heaven to illustrate that Heaven is a beautiful place and that one should be desirous of going to Heaven permanently. I for one, would love to exit right now but I have too much to do.
What to do in preparation
If one is at a point where, as a Believer, you decide that dying is better than staying then read the article “2023.01.02 Preparing for Death – The Last Rites” at https://www.eti-ministries.org/preparing-for-death-the-last-rites and do what you find to do there.
It is YOUR choice to leave
Then, the BIG point that nearly everyone misses, it is then pretty much your choice to decide when to exit.
By way of example, many years ago, I went through a brutal divorce, lost my business and was in a desperate financial position. My father, age 86, was desperately ill with Emphysema. Finally the divorce went through, the next week my partner and I were formally married. The following week I started work with IBM Consulting Group. The next day my father passed on and I realised that he had been holding on through all his suffering because he was worried about me.
I have seen other situations where someone who is seriously ill has held on until some specific issue is resolved and have then exited immediately.
In one case, with a woman who was nearly 100 years old, had lost her eyesight, was bedridden and wasting away but, apparently scared to die, the Spirit of Yah came on me and I declared boldly “Marion it is time to go, Jesus is waiting for you”. Within a few hours she passed peacefully.
What is my point?
If you know a Believer who is suffering with little possibility of recovery I encourage you to encourage them to clean up, say whatever needs to be said to whoever they need to speak to and then leave at their convenience.
As a Believer, once you have taken the Last Rites, there is NO reason to remain and suffer.
Conclusion
As Believer I encourage you to reposition your paradigm such that when you are at the end of your life you are in a position to quite simply say goodbye and leave.
Consider Genesis 49:33 “33 When Jacob (Israel) had finished commanding his sons, he drew his feet into the bed and breathed his last, and was gathered to his people [who had preceded him in death].”
Please feel free to email me (James) by replying to this email if you have questions or comments.
May Father bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and grant you His Peace
May Yah judge me severely and correct me harshly and show me the level of my present deception and how to correct it with regard to everything that I write and publish
