2014.01.31.03 New Moons Created by James on 2/28/2019 2:09:57 PM We are instructed to observe the New Moons as a time of blessing
New Moons
Yah's calendar is tied in to the New Moon date
Before the flood of Noah the earth followed an orbit of exactly 360 days with days being exactly twelve hours
The flood was caused by the impact of an ice comet which knocked the earth off its axis and out of its uniform orbit, it also knocked the moon off its uniform orbit
The result is that we now have a year of 365 and a quarter days and a moon cycle of approximately 29 days
After the flood, Noah and Shem chose to follow a calendar that as best as they were able followed the pre-flood calendar while Japheth and Ham chose to follow a solar calendar
We are commanded to observe the New Moon as a point of reference for our calendar and a day of feasting

Some months ago a friend mentioned that they were feeling convicted by Father Yah to observe the New Moons in addition to the Saturday Sabbath and the set apart feasts and fasts that I have written about previously
Subsequently I have felt such conviction myself
Today I undertook some research and came up with the attached article
As far as I can determine at this stage there is no particular prescription as to what one should do to celebrate other than sound the shofar (trumpet) and offer a sacrifice (roast or barbecue some meat -- lamb or beef) to express it simplistically
Attached also please find attached the Qodesh calendar which Yah has indicated to me I can make use of, the New Moon is "Rosh Chodesh"
Upcoming dates are:
31 July
30 August
28 September
27 October
26 November
26 December
May Yah bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and grant you His peace
