2001.04.1.04 Proactive Intercession: Making Holiness More Attainable Created by James3 on 7/9/2019 8:37:21 PM Proactive Intercession: Making Holiness More Attainable
We received this yesterday from a friend in the Body who had previously shared with us the major impact that this very elementary principle was having in his life.
As he shared his experience i was struck by how easily we stray from the Way of Yahshua! There have been times when i have prayed constantly and daily in the Holy Spirit and walked in victory in every area but, more recently, i have not been diligent in this area.
We are enjoined in Ephesians 6:18 relating to Spiritual Warfare and the whole armour of God Apraying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saintsBA (NKJ)
We see that prayer in the Holy Spirit is a VITAL component of Spiritual Warfare and therefore of the walk of the Believer.
In 1 Corinthians 14:18 Paul writes AI thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all;@ (NKJ)
We see here that Paul regarded praying in tongues as a vital part of his life. If he did, then we are well advised to follow his example.
In 1 Corinthians 14:2 we read AFor he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.@ (NKJ)
From this we learn that when we pray in tongues, we speak mysteries to God and only God understands us. In other words, we pray by the Holy Spirit within us to Father Yahweh such that His perfect will for our lives is prayed AND Satan and his demons have NO knowledge of what we are praying -- for we, ourselves, do not know what we pray.
This is an extremely powerful weapon that it seems most of us seldom use to it=s full potential.
Following is what was sent to me:
PROACTIVE INTERCESSION: MAKING HOLINESS MORE ATTAINABLE
Why wait for the enemy to attack?
Take the battle to him, and enjoy the fruit of it.
A suggestion:
1) Pray in the Spirit for the events of the next day the day before.
Use your understanding where possible, but pray through until you get peace in your spirit about God's control of the next day's events. This will reduce ENORMOUSLY the white-knuckle-ride effect of the storms you encounter.
NB: you may still come across them, but you will fly over them at an enjoyable low altitude.
2) Pray in the Spirit, as in 1), but specifically for the victory over the carnal, (Greek: "sarkus") fleshly man, for the entire period of the forthcoming 24 hours. Of great importance is the attainment of the peace in your spirit.
You might try this approach:
"Father God , i pray in Jesus' name for victory over my flesh, in thought, word and deed in every split second to come tomorrow.
I pray that my love for You will increase, and that it will combine with Your love for me and Your anointing in me and on me to bring into subjection every impulse of the carnal man, and that i will walk in complete Union, unity, and harmony with You at all times and particularly tomorrow.
I claim this by faith in Jesus' Name, and now pray this into being......... (pray in the Spirit until peace is obtained)"
3) Take-home of note: the natural realm and the spirit realm run parallel in likeness; nature abhors a vacuum and will rush to fill it.
Drive out the carnal influence, and you will welcome a greater rush of God's influence in your life.
4) Recommended reading: "God Calling" edited by A.J Russell.
5) Recommended listening: "The Sarkus Man"; preached by Leon van Daele, at Cornerstone Church, Bedfordview, South Africa, early 2001.
>>> END OF NOTE <<<
We hope to do a teaching on the carnal nature shortly.
I have found over the years that, with a little practice and self discipline, it is possible to pray quietly in the Spirit under one=s breath even while on a bus, train or aeroplane without anyone around one noticing. It is also possible to pray in the Spirit while reading or doing other work since one is not praying with one=s understanding but it is the Holy Spirit who is praying - all He requires is that we release our mouth, tongue and vocal chords to submit to our own spirit=s instead of to our carnal minds so that He can use them. This is a discipline well worth developing and maintaining as it truly does permit one to do two jobs at once much of the time!
It is important while praying in the Spirit from time to time to give thanks to God and praise Him with your understanding in your own language and from time to time to declare the focus of your prayers so that you are in touch with what you are praying. It is also important from time to time to declare by faith in the Name of Yahshua that you receive what you are praying in tongues.
Creflo Dollar has an excellent tape series AHidden Answers revealed through the prayer of tongues@ which discusses this subject in great detail with considerable additional scripture.
Be aware that there ARE false tongues and false anointings so, if you experience discomfort while praying in tongues or do not experience peace it is possible that this applies. In this case we can assist.
If you have observed others praying in tongues and have been put off by carnal or demonic manifestation, be aware of the counterfeits but realise that Satan cannot produce a counterfeit unless there is something to counterfeit. Again, we can assist if you have had a bad experience.
We can also assist if you have never received the gift of Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues.
It is hoped that this document has assisted.
May Yahweh bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you in the Name of the Lord Yahshua Messiah.
Shalom
THE NAMES OF GOD
Yahweh
Yahweh is the proper name for our God and occurs 6,828 times in the Old Testament. Vines states:
"LORD : The divine name YHWH appears only in the Bible. Its precise meaning is much debated. God chose it as His personal name by which He related specifically to His chosen or covenant people." (from Vine's Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words, (Copyright (C) 1985, Thomas Nelson Publishers)
By way of analogy, my proper name is "James" and i have the designation of "husband" to my wife, it would not be indicative of a meaningful marriage relationship if my wife were to constantly refer to me as "husband" rather than "James". In the same way, it is not indicative of a meaningful relationship with our God to refer to Him as "Lord" rather than "Yahweh" when He has given us His name to use and uses it throughout scripture.
For more information refer to the book "The Sacred Name" published by Qadesh La Yahweh Press, available on the internet at:

The Lord (Baal)
In contrast, the word "Baal" in English translations could more accurately be translated "lord" or "the lord". Thus by a quirk of the early translations, the word Baal which could easily be translated "the lord" is used to represent a pagan deity and the word Yahweh, which is not capable of translation, is translated The Lord. It therefore seems important that we progressively accustom ourselves to using the correct name for our God.
