I am currently corresponding with a couple of people who are energetically seeking to draw close to Father and I thought it would be helpful to them and to others to summarize my current thoughts on what is required to do this.

I am currently corresponding with a couple of people who are energetically seeking to draw close to Father and I thought it would be helpful to them and to others to summarize my current thoughts on what is required to do this.

This article today summarizes what is contained in the above article and is informed by information that I have obtained subsequent to 2014.

 

To put this in context, on 12th March 1993 backslidden and seriously considering suicide the Almighty spoke to me audibly in a locked room and I knew for certain that he was real.  That turned my life around.  He simply said to me “Phone Iain Peters, he has something you need!”.  I phoned Iain, he invited me to dinner and shared his living relationship with the Creator.  That Sunday he took me to his Charismatic Christian Church.  I was impressed by teaching from the Bible and people with their Bible’s open with highlighters and notebooks.  I went forward to the Altar Call, the person who ministered to me advised me to read the Bible at least an hour morning and evening, pray on my knees for at least an hour morning and evening and worship at every opportunity.  I took that counsel to heart and applied it for many years thereafter and that same counsel is the heart of my counsel to you today.

 

The Bible

I then went to the bookshop with Iain and purchased a New King James Bible.  I took it home and held it up to Father and said “Father, these people say that this is Your Word.  I do NOT understand it and I am asking you to answer all my questions.”  He answered that prayer and in the next eight years I read the Protestant Christian Bible from Genesis to Revelation about 20 times in numerous translations and versions and from Matthew to Revelation a further 15 times in further versions.  I also read Psalms and Proverbs repeatedly, probably hundreds of times.  My reading protocol was about four pages of the Old Testament and four pages of the New Testament morning and evening and at least one page of Psalms and one page of Proverbs morning and evening.  If you are going to read the Bible I commend this approach.   In this process I filled about 14 x 100 page notebooks with my questions, answers and comments as I learned.

 

In this process, because Father had spoken to me audibly, it never occurred to me that He would NOT continue to speak to me and so from the outset I started to hear Him, initially not particularly clearly but enough to get some modicum of guidance.

 

Early on He said to me that the Bible was corrupt and that I should read as many different translations as possible.  He also said that there were major important texts that were missing and locked up in a Vault in the Vatican Library so that I should expect to get revelation from other sources.

 

To cap this point regarding the Bible, in 2001 after a series of  ten three day fasts seeking truth Father said to me “The Bible is NOT my Word and is only about 2.5% inspired”.  That was a great shock which took me about ten years to internalize and adapt to.  Having adjusted to this in the past decade and a bit I have come to comprehend just how limited the Bible is see https://www.eti-ministries.org/essence-of-message-regarding-bible

 

I mention this because, in my message, I want to stress that YES it IS important to read the Bible a few times in order to understand the history of those Anointed ones that have played a key role in history.  Beyond this there are limited passages that contain important truths.  Bottom line is there is MUCH else to read, see https://www.eti-ministries.org/important-information for some books and recommended Bible versions.

 

In reading the Bible I recommend that you read the New King James Version first, then the Amplified Bible and then the version called “The Scriptures” from the Institute of Scripture Research South Africa – all available on-line and on Amazon, see the link above.  Then read the other books cited on the webpage above.

 

The Website

From the perspective of reading Father has said that the ETI Website https://www.eti-ministries.org is an extremely important resource with considerable information regarding a wide variety of topics, much of which are NOT discussed elsewhere.  So, you can do worse than reading articles on the website on a daily basis.  Note that the menu of the website at first glance appears indigestible, with no structure, this is intentional, the menu sequence starting top left follows what I currently regard as the most useful sequence BUT the intention is that you jump around with whatever article your eye is drawn to.  The site is designed so that Father can guide you to what HE wants you to read.

The Keyword Cloud at the bottom of most pages and at https://www.eti-ministries.org/article-keyword-cloud is an alphabetic list of keywords across all the articles on the site, currently over 2,400 at last count.  The Article Sliders at the end of each article randomly serve up links to the Article Database so that Father can randomly put topics in front of you that may be of interest / relevance.

 

The Article Search and the Google Search, a few screens down in the right hand sidebar provide a quick and easy way to search for particular topics, the Google Search is particularly powerful.

 

So, overall, the website is a resource that you can use to gain knowledge on a wide variety of topics of particular relevance.

There are a number of key videos on Revival at https://www.eti-ministries.org/revival-revisited these are particularly important.  Fundamentally Revival is what every one of us should be aiming for in our lives.

 

Read as though YOU are the Anointed One

At a very early stage of my Bible reading Father said to me “read the Gospels as though you ARE Jesus” – in those days I only knew about Jesus.  In this context it is VITAL to recognize that Yahooshua said in John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”  This is a key principle.  We are told to do GREATER WORKS – THAT should be YOUR GOAL!  Remember that Yahooshua is 100% human and it was the Spirit of Yah in and on him that performed the miracles so this is entirely available to you – see https://www.eti-ministries.org/essence-of-message-re-yahooshua-jesus

 

Accordingly I give you the same counsel, read the Gospels and see yourself as Yahooshua doing the same and greater works than he did!  By extension, when you read other passages in the Bible which describe the actions of other Anointed Believers, do the same, see yourself doing the same, so see yourself in the Lions Den of Daniel, being taken into Heaven like Elijah, etcetera.

 

Going beyond this, if you read or listen to or watch ANYTHING that exhibits or discusses the actions of Anointed Ones, visualize yourself DOING the same things if what is being described is something you would like to do.  I would NOT recommend Samson as an example.

 

Ask for comparable Anointing

Starting in March 1993, as discussed above, I started reading, praying, worshipping as I had been counselled.  I went to church twice on Sunday and on Wednesday evening.  I went to home church.  I bought recordings of the teachings and listened to them in my car.  I bought recordings of worship songs and listened to them in my car.  I was still doing my job full time but I was stretching my day to draw close to Father.

 

I did NOT do this with any particular goal other than that this was what the person who counselled me at the outset recommended.

 

Then, in the early hours of 2^nd January 1994, having read the book “Good Morning Holy Spirit” by Benny Hinn and being impacted by his description of his first major encounter with Father I went to bed around 3 am and, lying on my stomach, started to pray, repeatedly “Father I desire to know you the way Benny Hinn knows you”.  After some time my bedroom was filled with a roaring sound (similar to the Upper Room on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2) and I was pressed down into the bed with an intense pressure.  I subsequently understood that Father had put His hand on me.

 

The next morning I woke with an intense anointing and started to pray for people and they were healed, imparted the Spirit of Father to them, Prophesied, etcetera.  This continued for several years  until I lost that Anointing in a brutal Divorce from my unbelieving wife where my church turned against me.  See https://www.eti-ministries.org/why-i-believe for an outline of some of the more dramatic experiences I have had and which are available to you.

 

On this basis I ENCOURAGE YOU to decide who you would like to emulate at some level and get on your face before Father and ask Him to grant you comparable Anointing.  The obvious choice would be Yahooshua but you can pick any person whose story really impacts you.

 

Keep doing this until you have an experience that your prayer has been answered and you are able to go out there and minister to people.  This might take hours, it might take months but I have great confidence that if you do what I am advocating in terms of reading, prayer, worship, etc and keep praying this eventually your prayer WILL be granted.

Prayer

I have said that you should pray at least two hours a day on your knees or on your face on the floor.  The webpage https://www.eti-ministries.org/essence-of-message-regarding-prayer gives some examples of powerful prayers.

 

Do NOT limit yourself to these.  Cry out to Father on ANY topic, ask Him about ANY topic.  There is NOTHING out of line while you are learning!  He WILL teach you, He WANTS to teach you!

 

Note that Prayer is technically specifically a Petition in the Court of Heaven, so ASKING for something from Yah.

 

Strictly speaking, what I am referring to here as Prayer is much wider than that.  Get on your knees or your face before Father and enter into dialogue with Him.  Quieten your Spirit and listen for His “Still Small Voice” and enter into DIALOGUE with Him.

 

THAT is WHY you are  here, to have a relationship and dialogue with Father.

 

I only state knees or face on the floor as the best way to humble yourself and quieten your spirit but as you grow in these things you will be able to conduct dialogue with Him at all times, at your desk working, on Public Transport, in your car, ANYWHERE!  See https://www.eti-ministries.org/important-insights for verbatim quotes of statements Father made to me when I was hearing Him the clearest I have ever heard Him in the latter part of 2014 before domestic issues caused me to lose that Anointing.  YOU can have THAT level of closeness and clarity of hearing ALL THE TIME IF you will seek it!

 

Worship

Worship is praising Father and singing to Him.  In a very real sense it is making love to Him.  The more you worship and the more intensely you worship the closer you will come to Him.  I recommend at least two hours a day dedicated worship time plus listen to Worship songs and sing along whenever you can, in your car, on public transport with earphones, at your desk with earphones, etcetera.

Nurture and Treasure the Anointing

IF you do all the above on a disciplined daily basis you WILL grow in Anointing and in Relationship with Father and you WILL get to a point where He can use you and speak through you and where YOU can perform miracles, equal to and greater than Yahooshua, that is heal the sick, raise the dead, walk on water, etcetera,  PROVIDED your heart attitude is right and you have dealt with sin, error, pride, etcetera.

 

Having received an Anointing it is vital to realize that you can completely LOSE it overnight through anger, extreme sin, betrayal by your life partner, etcetera.  It is vital to conduct your life that you nurture and treasure the Anointing.

 

We regard to your life partner, it is highly desirable that they are Believers and can walk the same walk as you.  If they are NOT Believers, try your best to convert them and if that does NOT work then get Divorced as quickly as possible --  your allegiance is to Father NOT an unbelieving servant of Satan.

 

If there is strife in your union, ask Father to guide you and do whatever you have to do to make that strife go away PERMANENTLY.  If you cannot do that then, again, Divorce is called for.

 

The question you have to ask yourself, is which is more important, a life partner who is constantly in strife with you or your relationship with Father Yah!

 

Of course if YOU are the source of the strife then YOU need to clean up and Divorce is NOT the answer!

 

Cleansing

Over and above all that discussed so far, you need to cleanse yourself, immersion (full body immersion aka Baptism), Deliverance from Demons, etcetera.  There is much on this at https://www.eti-ministries.org/essence-cleansing-and-deliverance

 

I strongly recommend that you go ALL the way, triple immersion, full body shaving, full body anointing with the Blood of the Covenant, full body anointing with the Oil of the Spirit, comprehensive Deliverance, comprehensive Spiritual Audit, etcetera.  See the above article for detailed instructions.

 

Getting above Sin

A critical element of getting close to Father is to get ABOVE SIN – get totally free of sin, get a revelation that this is entirely possible.  Many religious people will tell you this is NOT possible, that is a LIE, it is entirely possible IF you ask Father you guide you and you take it seriously, see https://www.eti-ministries.org/what-is-required-to-live-above-sin and other pages on this topic.

 

Choose your Direction

In all of this, choose your direction, ask Father to show you your gifts and talents and the direction He wants you take and the Ministry He wants you to develop.  You may already know or have a sense, if not, start asking Him to show you.  Then focus your efforts on this direction.

 

Hearing Father

I have referred above to Father’s “still small voice”.

 

It is a learning process to quieten your Spirit to allow Him to communicate with you clearly AND for you to recognize His voice amongst all the other voices that are drowning Him out – I refer to Demons which you will certainly have when you start this journey,  your mind, etcetera.  In the early stages of hearing Him you will NOT be sure if it really IS Him or not.

 

Test, ask for confirmation, ask for signs.  He is patient He WANTS you to hear Him, He is LONELY and He LONGS to have close dialogue with YOU!

 

In the early days of my journey things He would do to help me gain confidence I WAS hearing Him were simple instructions like “give that hitchhiker a lift” or “give that person the cash you have in your wallet”, etcetera.  In those early days I wrestled, I drove on by and then was convicted to turn around and collect the hitchhiker to discover that they were a Believer on hard times who had asked Father to send a Believer to give them a lift or give them money or whatever.  Such experiences are very encouraging!

 

Getting Filled with the Spirit of Yah

You can get filled with the Spirit of Yah by having Anointed Believers lay hands on you AND you can get there simply by worshipping and raising your hands while standing and asking Him to fill you!  This should be part of your daily regime!

 

Increased Energy and Less Sleep

You may wonder where I found the time to hold down a full time job AND do all the praying, reading, worshipping I have written about above.  Reality is that as you get closer to Father and more filled with His Spirit you require less sleep, His Spirit will energise you.

 

Conclusion

I encourage you to GO FOR IT!

 

It is hard work and requires discipline but the end result is WORTH IT!
